meet your instructor

Laura Kittinger

Our last name, Kittinger (KIT-ing-grrrrr), means “house of song,” and it is my pleasure to share in the gift of song with others. I have a degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Baptist University with a certification to teach vocal and instrumental music in grades K-12. Over the years, I have taught middle school choir and private lessons, led choir camps, played cello in a variety of performing and recording contexts, and fostered a love for music in the hearts of our own three kids. It is my joy to open up our house of song to other families this season.

our vision

I believe each one of us carries a unique gift. When we bring that gift into a group, we create something entirely new together. Music is my favorite way to express and celebrate this beautiful way that we are made. Music unlocks us and frees us, and each of our lessons and classes is crafted to provide a safe and encouraging way to learn and develop the gift of song inside of us. In addition to private lessons, we also offer a variety of group classes, giving each student an opportunity to grow as an individual while also shaping and being shaped by the other students around them.

"Laura is a wonderfully enthusiastic teacher! Her passion for music is felt and caught by her students. I have sung in several Church choirs over the years, and I learned more about the fundamentals of Choir from Laura in watching her teach one 2-hour Choir Class than I had ever been taught before!"

Jenny Anklam, Mother & Teacher
